I love it when you're confusing on purpose. I'm very curious what Krss' part will continue to be!

@ Krissy doing stuff to Gijs van Gijsten! Nice introduction of Santi. And the family does seem to have a tragic history! I wonder if Martha died of "natural causes".

Reading this episode now, after having just finished The Elective Affinities by Goethe I feel so much like Edward who lost his Ottilie... Professor Massini rules! And Gijs made such a nice couple with Almirena that I was sorry for her when it turned out that he had some kind of moreless intimate relationship with that horrible, false girl dressed in maid costume. ( @ Krss )

*grin* To paraphrase TLF, "The question is not so much... with whom has she a sexual relationship... as... with whom has she NOT!" My plans for Krss's character grow more and more diabolical. Gijs is going to appear quite a lot, and it won't be what you think. Professor Massini is such a sympathetic character, and when you actually get to MEET him, it will be even worse - or better. I plan to develop his character quite deeply. And don't forget the dark horse, the mysterious young footman who's so full of irony that he'd stick to a magnet.
----- Half-light, purblind streams where moonlight washes over trees / Lustred with a glow, as if from pearls upon the throat Where the night's kiss lights upon her; rose's rhapsodies, / Warm as oils, imbue this bliss-fed hour with trembling note "Where-? And who-?" Her breath's unspoken soul is light's perdue That, hidden, seeks the unseen with a sigh… "Ah, L'inconnu!"

I was just about to post a "Sorry about not posting anything recently in this story" post! I've been working on the GK radio play mixing, and it's taking a long time. Sometimes very important parts of the plot were spoken just a tad too quickly for the listener to make out what is being said, so I've slowed the whole thing down and put small spaces in between words to help to clarify it all. And then of course the whole business of balance when everyone's recorded on such vastly different equipment... Oh, boy, it's so much fun. But I will write some more of this story today. You'll get to meet an extremely fascinating character - perhaps two. (Edited by Almirena at 11:24 am on Nov. 5, 2006)

So do I. And I am obviously looking forward to see some progress in the investigation of the Case of the Left-Handed Corpes, too.

Great new installment. I like Almirena's inner thoughts very much, and, of course, Santi's character. And, of course, mine. But what I like the most is the rural atmosphere you've created.

I'm so glad you like that! I had in mind very much the sort of England that is seen in Midsomer Murders, very rural (as you said). It seemed to lend itself to the story idea very well. I also want to include lots of odd characters, those beloved English eccentrics that make up village life, so expect some bizarre characters to pop up. I am having SO much fun with your character, Krss, and of course with Santi's. In fact, I'm enjoying all the characters a great deal. It's always a good sign when, once I open up Word and start typing, I virtually have not to think at all about what happens, because the characters write themselves.

I wanted to see Al and the motorcycle guy race. I love how there's even more of a mystery behind Krss and Gabnic.

I cannot but love Santorio Massini. What a tombeur de femmes! And you created such a serene athmosphere despite the murder: I could almost feel the peace of English countryside.
