Having seen the very particular sets of pics that are getting posted in the Pics of us thread, I thought to open up a dedicated thread.

Post all the particular images that you created, consciously or accidentally, with a crafty use of your camera.

These were experiments with long exposure settings. They both were taken at night with about an hour-long shutter speed. The lights intensified and resulted with an awesome effect:

My computer. You can see the reflected shadows from the rain on the window on the papers on the wall:

These were taken on a night airplane flight, taking off from the runway. The shutter speeds ranged from 5-7 seconds. It made a cool ribbon effect. Nothing spectacular.

I like the first one with the rain, and the last one looks futuristic! Makes me want to try it out, but my photography knowledge doesn't go beyond point and click.

Beautiful stuff. I feel in awe and very much as though I should learn to do more with my camera.

Half-light, purblind streams where moonlight washes over trees / Lustred with a glow, as if from pearls upon the throat
Where the night's kiss lights upon her; rose's rhapsodies, / Warm as oils, imbue this bliss-fed hour with trembling note
"Where-? And who-?" Her breath's unspoken soul is light's perdue
That, hidden, seeks the unseen with a sigh… "Ah, L'inconnu!"

Ohh my first photography class just submerged and sucked me in more and more. And not just digitally, but developing in a dark room. From toning to solarizing prints... The possibilities are endless!

Beautifully done. Krss, you look more striking when the background is plain - it gives you an air of particular significance.

Thanks.

It's an interesting visual effect, especially if you see that nothing that remained of the photo changed position.

A cool and well-done example of photo editing.
