Post little (or big) samples of your voice. I want to know how everyone sounds. :smile:

:lol:
Maybe tomorrow, or you'll have to wait for the radioplay.

Why don't you post a sample?

Neither do I, here at home. My laptop has been left in Venice. You'll have to wait...

I had fogotten I had some voice samples on my Gmail account (Blessed Gmail!)... so here is one.

Almirena will recognise it. :wink:

That was amazing. :smile: Italian language is in itself like a melody, but you added soul to it. I loved hearing that. You have a beautiful voice.

Is it a poem? Could we have a transcript? I caught words here and there, but not enough to understand it.

Thanks for the compliment. :blush:
It is a sonnet by Francesco Petrarca (one of my favourites): Apollo, s'ancor vive il bel desio.

difendi or l'onorata e sacra fronde,
ove tu prima, e poi fu' invescato io;

e per vertú de l'amorosa speme,
che ti sostenne ne la vita acerba,
di queste impressïon l'aere disgombra;

sí vedrem poi per meraviglia inseme
seder la donna nostra sopra l'erba,
e far de le sue braccia a sé stessa ombra.

Okay, let Krss show off her lack of Italian.

I know the following:
Apollo = Apollo
vive = lives
bel = beautiful
infiammava = inflame?
onde = waves
amate = loved
bionde = blonde
gli anni = the years

tempo = time
aspro = rough
'l tuo viso s'asconde = your face hides
l'onorata e sacra fronde = the honored and sacred brow
tu prima = you first
e poi = and then

'l'amorosa = the amorous
che ti sostenne = which supports you
la vita = the life
di queste impression = of this impression
seder la donna nostra sopra l'erba = our lady sitting on the grass
le sue braccia = her arms
ombra = shadow

If it wasn't about Apollo, I'd say it was about Aphrodite. :smile:

I've recorded three poems so far, but I hate them. That meaning, I hate my voice. And I can't act. So you might not get a voice sample after all. :sad:

If anyone has any idea of what you might want me to say, please tell me..

Apollo, if that beautiful desire yet lives
That burned in you near the waves of Thessaly
And if the blonde locks that you loved have not,
As the years have turned, already been placed in oblivion:

From still frost and from sour weather and river,
That endures (?) when you conceal your face,
Defend now the honoured and sacred grove
Where you before and then I were entangled.

And by strength from the loving hope
That sustained you in the bitter life,
Clear away the sensation of the air
So then we will see for utter wonder
Our woman sit upon the grass
And with her two arms provide herself with shade

~~~~~~~~
That's the best I can do guessing at some words.
-----
Half-light, purblind streams where moonlight washes over trees / Lustred with a glow, as if from pearls upon the throat
Where the night's kiss lights upon her; rose's rhapsodies, / Warm as oils, imbue this bliss-fed hour with trembling note
"Where-? And who-?" Her breath's unspoken soul is light's perdue
That, hidden, seeks the unseen with a sigh… "Ah, L'inconnu!"
Some constructions don't make sense, but it's a way richer interpretation than my guesses. :smile: Well done!
And here's my voice sample. :giggle:
