I'm going over the new information released, hunting for details.

From trailer: What is that about traveling in time to get back his wife? We were told Styles' experiment was about the power of the mind, and that the dead wife starts making appearances. Is "time-travel" just used symbolically about talking to the dead? (I hope not. )

From the new artwork:

* The department of neurology looks like a church. Anyone know what that statue is?

* Love the Oxford street view, especially the steam going up from the manhole cover.

* Styles' computer runs Windows! Is that XP or Vista? I thought it was Styles in the background, looking like a mannequin. I still don't know if that's a real person. And Samantha looks so cool!

* Just a thought from this picture. Did Laura Styles ever exist?

* Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland! Probably intentional.

* David and Sam? Instead of seeing it as David screaming at her as a demanding employer, I saw it as David trying to bite into her neck like a vampire (and I found that erotic:tongue: ).

* I wonder if this forest is near Dread Hill House. It sure looks good. That D+L heart in the tree stands out.

* What the heck is that???

* I wonder in what context this is happening. I thought I'd make it a challenge for people to come up with explanations for that.

That's what I got so far. Please add your own comments!

* I don't remember any statue similar to this one. But it reminds to me of nymph, in a darker mood of course.

*In the Oxford Street art - which is my new desktop wallpaper, by the way, I wonder what is the white shape behind the two main buildings?

* I think that it's Styles in the background, and the look of the PC resembles Vista, I think

* I agree with you: Styles, in the picture with the dress and in the one where he's screaming at Sam, has a distinct vampire quality:biggrin:

* I think that the Forest is a part of Dread Hill. Many noble estates have forests and park within their boundaries.

* "What the heck is that?" - A wonderful cover:biggrin:

* Possible explanation of the storyboard: can it be a scene from Sam's attempt to find the six Oxford's students that David needs for his experiment?

It reminds me of Asmodeus.

Yeah, looks like some tents, but what could they be?

I like noble estates.

* "What the heck is that?" - A wonderful cover:biggrin:

And a very scary mask thing.

* Possible explanation of the storyboard: can it be a scene from Sam's attempt to find the six Oxford's students that David needs for his experiment?

That's right, I forgot. But what would be the significance of the word "stay" then?

Maybe the students are playing some kind of game and Sam, to convince one of them, has bet that she would pick up the "Stay" card...

... It doesn't make much sense:tongue:

Maybe Sam is saying "I'm going to leave now" but secretly wants to stay, so she "leaves it up to fate".

How about the tents? Any idea of what they might be, you people?

And, Krss, why the statue reminds you of Asmodeus? It could be an interesting link...

I think it's the "horned" hair and the clothes style. Have a look:

Obviously not the same, but I'm reminded of it.

The forest pictures make me shiver to look at them. I get the impression David has gone there to remember..

The boat is very Phantom of the Opera-ish, though. Hmm. :hmm:

Yes.. that's why I drew the connection. :hmm: I just hope the overtone isn't too strong, you know? It's very cliched..

I think that the mask serves to hide some scar from the incident.
I don't think that the Phantom-of-the-Opera-overtone will be very present.

As for the statue, the semi-huddled up position is surely similar, but the statue in the hospital seems to me a bit more feminine.

One of the earlier pictures of the lab (the one with the cat-scan machine and desk with high-tech gear and stuff, like the cranium model with removable parts) I noticed looks like it might have been converted from part of an old subway or railway system - or is it just my imagination?

I've also thought for a long time that some of the quantum physics stuff that Jane used in Dante's Equation may be one of the themes as well.

This one? I agree, got the same impression. But in this one it's just a huge basement.

It would fit right in.

And now we have a wine cellar that looks part of an old prison.  Or, a dungeon...

Two doubts about the following images: (1) Do you think that the lightening screen is a screensaver? Or something more dangerous? (2) Is the crow a real bird or just a stuffed animal?

In the following one, I'm the only one who think that the bag at the foot of the bed resembles a scaring face?

In one of the forest artwork, I notice something that might seems an iron gate, maybe leading to the basement. Do you notice it too?

Finally, from this picture (http://cort-x.fwheel.net/images/salon_1.jpg) and the correspondent in-game screen, as seen in the trailer, there are major differences, both in objects and general feeling. What do you prefer? The cozy-warm salon of the artwork, or the estranged-green screen of the trailer?

I don't see a face in the bag. However, I'd like to know what's the purpose of an empty bird cage in a bedroom, unless it is the bedroom of Styles' wife.

As for the basement, it does not remind me of a train station; still, Krss brought up a good point: what is that metal guide in the pavement? (The crow in my opinion is stuffed).

Concering the forest+boat+entrance to basement+Styles' mask, The Phantom of the Opera is here, inside your mind!!

I never read Alice in wonderland. Just saw the Disney cartoon

The bedroom surely seems unused from many years. Still, in the bag I continue to see a clear face (the two darker dots: the eyes; the lighter line between the two: the nose).

For the basement, I also wonder how do the various machines work.

If an entrance indeed exist, where do you think it may lead?

Concerning the storyboard. The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of a film I once saw (but I can't remember which one).

I'm pretty sure that that's a game they are doing, and Sam cheated for her own agenda. I guess that once we figure out the game, we'll unravel the mystery. In some ways it reminds me of the Italian "obbligo o verità" which I have no idea how to translate in English (truth or forfeit? Uhm... Maybe Santi can help me here! ^^)
