How about a link to the actual press release?

I doubt it's even possible. But I know Jackal personally, we talked about this, and I trust him 100%

Hmm... do you think it's related to the Game Developer's Conference?

Am I reading this correctly? Are they talking about sequels? Or what exactly are "editions"?

We don't know. I asked Jackal and he confirms that he quoted the press release exactly (not that I doubted that). We both guess that the line meant 'additions to the Gray Matter series'.

It's most definitely a good sign. I reckon they wouldn't even bother mentioning this publicly if they weren't 100% confident everything was good to go. I wouldn't be surprised if Jane and company have already started on these sequels, and readying them to be released consecutively over a much shorter time-frame than the debut game has taken to be made. Aren't they getting ahead of themselves a little, since the first game hasn't even been released yet? They don't have the proper data (i.e. sales figures) to use as a projection. You can find the press release over here. 90% of it is the same stuff everyone already knows; it doesn't get interesting until right near the end. And it's not proofread very well. ("Gary Matter"?) Still, it's a good sign. They might finally be ready to open up about it; there's contact info for gaming press to request preview/review copies as well.

Maybe it's Sam's long lost uncle that we'll meet in the sequel.

Maybe Gary Matter is simply another game and we're confused?
